Default Any enchanters?

One of my profs is enchanting and I just have the damndest time leveling it up, are there any simple tips for this? I think my skill is at 259 and is the only thing I can do is buy the mats and repeat enchant stuff? Is leveling it 1 point worth the 20g it takes to get the mats to do that at the level I'm at?

Honestly, I never did get my enchanting above 300 on either of my characters (my pally was enchanting for a long time before I switched to engineering), just because the cost of the mats. It got a little ridiculous, and my server has badly inflated prices anyways.

Maybe ours does too because I hardly think 20+g for each point is worth it. I've considered switching before but then I've also though about dropping skinning and adding inscribing when Wrath comes out so we'll see.

For me it was about 50g per point of Enchanting skill, which is why I stopped. It was getting a little ridiculous. Anyways, I'd say save up for your flying mount/epic flying mount instead of spending the money on Enchanting, and then get it up later.

That is probably what I will do, after I get my pvp set I'll start working on that probably.

I saw an interesting post similar to my complaints at the official forums: Enchanting isn't BC Friendly and I think I would have to agree with them. I was probably only around 200 or even less before I entered Outland.

i dont remember much of leveling it...but mostly i got everything to level it as i leveled, run a few more instances as you level, and DE all the green and blue drops...and now that your 70 you can go back and farm some old instances for the drops to get to get to when you can start using BC mats. becuase [Large Brilliant Shard] and [Greater Planar Essence] come from every single blue and green drop in Outlands. i feel it pays enough (maybe not as much as herbing or mining, but i do a lot less work, just sell what i DE from my normal activities.

I plan to have enchanting for my primary profession because it's cool and many people don't have success with it(making it an impressive profession to master)..

One tip is definitely make sure to keep up with it as you level or it will be very annoying and expensive to level it if you get behind at higher levels like I did.

Yeh...
My bf is a lvl 375 enchanter and I know he struggled at about lvl 350 onwards.
He spent a lot of time running instances and grinding to get patterns if I remember rightly, but he did get there in the end.

Its such a handy profession to have though...he is our guild main enchanter now and he seems to make a fair bit of gold out of it.
Quite often I will farm him the primals that he needs for enchanting (being a fire mage...farming primal fires was always a painful experience for him) and so we have a great business deal going

Any profession is a pain to level after a certain point though.

I got to lvl 375 LW on my rogue, and then decided to drop it and level blacksmithing so that I could make myself the dragonstrike mace....
Now THAT was painful and horrendous.
I now have an awesome mace...but I think it must have cost me about 10k in gold to do it!!!!
