Hello Everyone,
I am a college student in the
"Games for the Web" course at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Our class is currently analyzing transnational interactions among gamers from around the globe, and are playing a variety of MMORPG’s in order to meet a wide range of gamers with different cultural backgrounds and interests.
In an effort to collect essential information for our research on international gaming, we have created a
page where you can share your thoughts on our website. Please visit our site, review and complete the survey, explore the pages, post comments on our forums, and join us in our pursuit to unravel the complex issues of cross-cultural (transnational) interactions.
Also, feel free to email us questions, comments, concerns, or useful information; we are always looking for participation!
Thank you in advance for your time and for allowing us to be part of the community. We are committed to behaving as responsible, ethical and respectful scholars. We understand that the MMORPG community has been surveyed to death during the past several years, and promise that we will not waste your time with the "hit and run" research. We are approaching this project in the spirit of collaborative, participatory research, and will be publicly sharing our findings and thoughts on the course website and resources; after all, we are all participants in the global gaming community, so our research is for the benefit all, not just for a select few.
This course is being taught by Professor Aaron Delwiche in the Department of Communication. If you have any concerns about this class, please feel free to contact him via e-mail (adelwich@trinity.edu).
Thank you for your time and voluntary participation!
Jackson
P.S If you want to chat with me in-game, I am a Tauren warrior named Pnkflyd in the "Grizzly Hills" Realm!
