Nice cloak and talisman to!
We did 2 runs this weekend, we cleared all on Saturday and then realised that the OT that normally brings the urn for Nightbane, wasnt with us!
We went back and did Nightbane Sunday though....Im still in awe everytime you summon him and this huge skeletal dragon descends...
We had a most profitable run though,I got epic boots, a gun (nice pew pew actually...looks damn mean !!) and my exalted violet eye ring!
Sorry, dont have the links because im at work and cant remember what they were.

Our new shadow priest came with us just to gear up and got 4 new drops...I was so happy for him!

I dont like pugging ppl for kara much, I like to see the joy of people within our guild getting new gear and also, its always such a lot of fun talking and joking about on vent.
I know that doing Kara runs def helped with the social and bonding of the 70's in our guild.

Pugs are always abit tricky though, we have set teams we go in with and you get very used to the team dynamics and the way certain members play.
Nightbane is always tricky because of the charred earth, it amazes me to watch people NOT get out of the way of it!! Repeatedly!!!
And also when he rises and takes off....thats whole phase can be tricky.
Netherspite...well, the coloured globes can be hard to master...but one or two good wipesare the best way to learn stratedgy I think.

Bad luck on the helm
I got the T4 Gloves last weekend I was most pleased! I think Im next on list for the helm to....so...hopefully
Im normally the only rogue that goes into kara on my team, so Im a lucky gal if the leather drops

Ya it is more difficult in a pug since u dont know how each player plays their character and franky if their any good. Luckily I went in with some great players. Besides a druid healer that thot I was ninjaing when i asked if i could roll on healing gear for my offset if no1 else needed it(which i ended up not doing because he was crying so much about it). Otherwise it was a great group. Our druid tank had 21k health and knew the fights very well. Out only problem with Netherspite was people just getting confused on the beams or not going far enough away on his aoe. For Nightbane im not sure what really got us. We did alright with phase 2, we all got in a grp, hunters put down frost traps and such, and we took down the skeletons fast. It was the next phase where we kept wiping but i dont really know how. Oh well maybe next time

That sounds great, too bad you didn't get your helm though.

Heheh @ people having a whinge over gear.
Luckily we have never had that happen but we make it very clear that kara gear never goes to an offset unless every one is in agreement. Most times it gets DE and put in GB or the mats are rolled for.

I know the first time we did nightbane we wiped a few times before getting it together.
I cant exactly remember what our wiping factors were either....I think I got belted out by tail swipes a few times and I also think it was some of the caster classes not realising that you simply cannot do a single thing to nigghtbane while he is landing as you have to allow the tank to regain aggro....if its timed incorrectly, its a wipe.

We do Kara for gear and badge runs now and we have started timing how long we can get through it in.
This weekend just gone it was 6 hours, with a lot of mucking about. I will be interested to see what we can do it in this weekend.

I need badges so I can go shopping in Quel Danas!

Ah yeah now i remmeber what it was that wiped us on nightbane. It was when he was landing ppl were pulling aggro and our tank couldnt get him back in time.

Its super imperitive that noone at all cast anything on him until he has landed and tank has regained aggro.
Otherwise...certain wipe.

The guild I do kara with (not my own, left it for a guild further) lacks quite a bit of players. Meaning we end up with quite an amount of nubs and fail.
Last time most dps'ers were lower than the tanks >_> Hoping it'll pick up now that I'll dps rather than heal this Thursday. And we'll only allow good and trustable people.

Well I finally started my first Kara run last night! One of our guilds groups were short a couple so I stepped in as dps. Apparently this was a seasoned bunch of players but as a group we were new.

We got through Attumen and Moroes with no problems. When we got to Maiden, thats where we started having trouble and we whiped 4 times but finally got her.

Next in the Opera event we lost one of our two tanks so guess who had to OT? I did. I had actually gotten some epic gear for a feral set so I put that to use, we got Romeo and Juliette so after they were both down for the first time I took Juliette while our warrior took Romeo. Next we had Curator which we took down no problem. Then for the final boss of the night we went for Shade. Even our GM said we'd probably wipe once or twice before we clear him but even with my death we downed him on the first go. I guess we'll pick it up on Monday night to clear the rest.
