Post your impressions of Magister's Terrace if you've run it yet! I almost had a chance to do it today but the person who whispered me needed a tank and I'm balance.
Its a lot of fun. Though Kael at the end is a lot harder than he was on the PTR. Our group failed to kill him, after about 10 tries. The sad thing is that the whole group besides me was pretty much decked out in epics. Our healer couldn't keep up with the Gravity Lapse damage, so we kept dying once we got him down to around 40% health.
Normally I don't blame the healers, because nearly all healers I ever have are good/awesome at what they do, normally its the group dps (myself as a ret pally for instance) or the tank sucking. God knows I've been a healer long enough to know how difficult it can be.
And its not really the healer's fault in this case either, since Shamans don't have any heal over time/AoE heal spells, which are pretty much a requirement against 5-man Kael'thas, because of the stupid Gravity Lapse (which is what I really blame for us loosing).
That's not AoE really, since it can only hit three people within a short distance of each other. The AoE heals I'm thinking of are the priest ones that hit everything within 30 yards of either the player or the target.
But yeah, I forgot about chain heal, and apparently the healer I had in that group did as well, since he didn't use it.
well...in the kael fight players tend to get spread around so much that chain heal prob wouldn't work well.
we did it with a pally healer and that was a miserable failure as well...since you have to keep moving the whole fight, and pallys have no instant heals while they are moving...epic fail.
you kinda need a preist or a resto druid.
the whole instance is cool its kinda a mini-kara... you have the first boss (who is actually like the boss in SV?) then the curator-esque boss, then a moroes-type boss, and...then...keal...
ok so its got 2 bosses like kara bosses.
unfortunatly no good loot for me there, even on heroic (cause i'll have the badge reward chest) and the trinket is pretty much for locks
Well me and a group of others attempted to run this yesterday, I'm not sure how far we got since I had never done it before but we didn't finish it, somebody had to leave and we weren't doing very well overall. Still it was fun and its a really cool instance.
OK a quick look at WoWWiki since I couldn't remember shows that we beat 3 out of the four bosses, just didn't get to Kael'thas. Hopefully I'll be able to do it again soon, I'd like to clear it.
