Default 2008 WoW Arena Tournaments

Recently Arena Tournaments were announced. It should be a pretty huge deal with over $200,000 of prizes. You can read the FAQ about it at the official site: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/tournament/faq.xml

Honestly, if I wasn't sure I'd be outed in the first round, I'd probably sign up, but I'm terrible at pvp. But I'd end up wasting the 20 bucks if I did sign up, so its kinda stupid.

Nup..never been keen on arena to be honest.
The times I have done it, I havent enjoyed it to much and Im PVE not PVP anyway, so there is little point.
Besides, I think when there are money and prizes involves, it temds to turn ppl a little nasty and wayyyy to competitive.
Not really my scene.

The arena can have purpose even if u dont like it (no one liked grinding mobs for farming but they do it). Just thnk about it this way, it does depend on ur class, but S3 is T6 equivalent therefor if you do arena just 10 games a week and slowly build points your earning T6 which can drasticly help if ur guild is stuck in karazhan or someplace low.

I enjoy arena, I just don't have an opportunity to do it much. I'm only in a 5v5 team so we've only done 3 weeks worth of games and I've only done 2 weeks worth. My brother is a warrior so once he gets geared up I think we will have to get in on some 2v2 action, druid+warrior seems to be one of the best combos. I'd love to get even 1 piece of s3.

I haven't read too much about how it works but I am assuming I would be wasting time that I could be developing one of my toons or something else I was interested in. I dont have immense opportunities to play games and I wouldnt want to put time into something I have no chance of reaping any benefiet from. Because I certainly wouldnt win and I can't imagine I would enjoy myself either.
