Rogue Spec?

How do you guys spec your rogues. Both Assasination and combat look really good to me...

I started a rogue, I believe I got him to around 15 or 16 so far, and I was speccing mostly assassination with a couple points in combat, it seemed like the best leveling / solo spec.

Im not 100% certain and Dvalhish will probably clear this up but im pretty sure combat is the way to go for levelling. Sublety is common for PVP or combat with maces.

Combat swords is the fastest way to level with a rogue.

Once you are 70, it will depend on what you are most comfortable with doing.
For PVP, subtelty daggers/swords is very popular.
For PVE, Combat maces is the only way to go IMO.....I raid, so Im combat maces and while some people may be dubious about it, I can confirm that it is by far the best DPS spec for a rogue if you have your stats and talent tree correct.
If I might just boast for a sec, normally in a kara run, my gal with come 3rd highest in DPS....beaten only by our very well geared lock and an amazing mage that we have...so for anyone that says rogues cant raid well....pfffftttt

I have repecced several million times and this is the spec that works best for me.

Stack as many stats you can into agility and stam and your on ya way!

The more i read up on rogue specs the more confused i get...lol

I'm probably going with a combat daggers build and try things out for myself...i know alot of ppl say combat swords are better, but i'm sick of seeing dual swords...haha...

Btw, are there any wpns like the ones Illidan wields? Those look ultra-cool

Rogues are a pain to lvl at low lvls though...i got my rogue at lvl12 now..still very frustrating especially when i get mobbed...hopefully it get better as lvl progresses..

I understand, but the reason you see more dual swords than daggers is simple because swords are far more superior for levelling.
I have been playing a rogue for quite some time now, and I can count on 2 hands the number of level 70 rogues that use daggers these days.
Even in Sub spec, swords or maces seem to be the most popular choices.
I have been told by pre BC rogues that daggers were much better before the xpac, but now are very outdated due to the overwhelming amount of excellent swords and maces that have become available, and the decline in the quality of daggers.

The best advice I can give is to try everything and decide what you think feels best for you.

Im presuming the weps you are talking about are the warglaives?
Yes they are available....guess who they drop off..illidan himself.
They are orange items which means they are legendary and drop from illidan about 40% of the time.
They are not something you will see alot of players with

Im actually shocked to hear you say that.
Rogues are renoun for being extremely easy to level.
Once again, I would suggest you start to use swords and train down the combat talent tree....this may help you level faster.
Make sure that when you are buying gear you are chosing agility and stamina as your stats because that is what rogues need most.

I'm only lvl12! haha..

The only skills i got are gouge, snister strike, backstab, eviscarate, and slice and dice..lol

Think it'll get better when i reach the 20s...thats when i really started loving my hunter..before that he was kinda a wuss too...

Ah! well you didnt say to start what level you were
Bearing in mind that its good to learn as many weps now while you are low level, because if you decided to switch to swords later, youll have to train them up from zero and the higher you get, the more painful that it.

When I got my fist weps just recently I had to learn them up from zero...I had to go to the barrens and just kill level 8 boars to start with...it was funny

My bf is curretly levelling a rogue, hes level 30 and loving it, it will be his 3rd level 70 and he says its the most fun he has had levelling yet.
