Wrath of the Lich King Release Date

Unless it gets delayed, Wrath of the Lich King is scheduled to be released in the 2nd half of 2008. This was confirmed in a Vivendi press release.

Very good operating achievements were offset by non recurring or calendar impacts: the first quarter of 2007 included notably the successful launch of the first expansion set World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (the second expansion set is anticipated to be released in the second half of 2008) and the favorable settlement of a tax litigation.

We all kind of figured it would be by the end of the year but its good to see some confirmation.

Makes me kind of nervous. I had so much stuff I wanted to do before the xpac now that I am finally 70!!

I have heard lots of date: 5th of december, 30th of november....january 2008 *lol*, but the one i liked the most even if its not likley was augest 5th as much as i would like to believe that i wont be till atleast after october. Blizzard said they are featuring all their new games at the October blizzcon (10-11) such as Starcraft 2, Lich king expansion, and im almost certain Diablo 3. therefor if there featuring it in october to show it off before sales i dont know why anyone could think anything earlier then oct 31 come on u know u want the LICH KING with all his death and scary **** to come out on halloween

Personally, I think they are also waiting to see when Warhammer online will be released aswell.
It supposed to be around the same time, and its also supposed to be the one game that is said to challenge wow.
