Default Gearing Up

I've just entered Outlands with my lvl58 rogue. Now starting to focus on gearing up my rogue. My gear now is half blues and half greens.

As gears at this level cost more or takes more effort to farm out, I am just checking for some advice on good gears to look out for.

Also is getting the dungeons sets really worth the effort? I see some greens in outlands that are already better then the corresponding shadowcraft set piece.

No, the dungeon sets from before level 70 aren't worth it any more. The Outlands stuff outpaces it by a very large margin.

Mainly, what I did is just run through the Outlands dungeons every so often to try and get gear. There are a couple of rogue drops in Ramparts ([Bracers of Finesse], [Shifting Sash of Midnight] and [Shadowrend Longblade] if you use swords) and in Blood Furnace ([Mantle of the Dusk-Dweller] and [Vest of Vengeance]).

Most of the dungeons will have at least one or two pieces of gear that you'll want.

If you do all the quests in Outland you will gear up fine till you get to 70. I only ran one or two dungeons in Outland before I was 70.

Just to check, I got the Jerkin of the Untamed Spirit from a quest in honor hold. The armor value of 425 is in green. Does this mean its been enchanted? If i add my own enchants will it cancel the armor value? Cause 425 armor for a leather item is impressive...

No, it just means the armor value is one of the bonuses of the item I think. You can definitely still enchant it.

The Tier60 sets may be useless, but I still want Tier 3 for the look of it. The dark blue warrior set with the skulls all over it...such a pimp looking suit. I heard somewhere though that Tier 7 is going to look the same as tier 3, cant remember where though.

I have heard they are going to reuse some of the sets for WotLK too but I'm not sure if this is true or not. I like the BC tier sets for druids better than pre-BC...

Naxx the pre-BC T3 instance is being taken out of EPL in 3.0.2 patch and moved to northrend. This will be the *karazhan* of wrath of the lich king and will have re-coloured T3 sets which will serve as T7.

=D

Is the recolored t3 definitely going to be used? I wasn't sure if those were just placeholders till new armor sets were finished, or if they definitely were going to be used.

I don't really care for any of the Druid's pre-BC tier sets. :/
