Hey all,
I’m an honours year geography student from the University of Dundee doing a dissertation looking at Online Communities. The project looks comparing “real” geographic-based communities to online ones to draw similarities and differences between them. As the largest and most popular game which strongly emphasises the “community” nature of the game, World of Warcraft is the most logical case study to understand how the sense of community develops both in–game and its supporting websites, forums, conferences and competitions.
The webmaster's at WoWdungeon have allowed me to post a link to this questionnaire which asks respondents questions about the sense of community when involved in the game, both on and offline.
The questionnaire will be totally anonymous and voluntary, and can be stopped at any time. The data will be used only as a case study example, and used only in my dissertation, not published. If you have any questions about the topic please don’t hesitate to contact me
Kindest regards,
