Other Hero Classes

After we get the Death Knight with Wrath of the Lich King, what other possibilities do you think there are for hero class?

Death Knight was a hero unit from Warcraft 3 so let me list all the hero classes from that game here.

Alliance

• Paladin [Human Male]
• Archmage [Human Male]
• Mountain King [Dwarven Male]
• Blood Mage [Blood Elf Male]

Horde

• Far Seer [Orcish Male]
• Blademaster [Orcish Male]
• Tauren Chieftain [Tauren Male]
• Shadow Hunter [Troll Male]

Scourge

• Death Knight [Human Male]
• Lich [Undead Orc Male] or [Undead Human Male]
• Dreadlord [Nathrezim/Dreadlord (Demon), Presumably Male]
• Crypt Lord [Nerubian Male]

Sentinel

• Keeper of the Grove [Cenarian Male]
• Priestess of the Moon [Night Elf Female]
• Demon Hunter [Night Elf Male]
• Warden [Night Elf Female]

I think out of those the most obvious choice is the Demon Hunter, which was probably the most popular hero class in WC3 along with the Death Knight. Some of them kind of or exactly apply to current classes in the game like the Paladin or Blood Mage.

Well, Warden most likely won't be implemented, since that was unique to the Warden Maiev, if I remember correctly. Crypt Lords, Dread Lords, Keeper of the Grove and Liches are pretty unlikely, as well, due to them being entirely new races we can't be (as of yet).

I could see either of the Night Elf ones (Priestess of the Moon and Demon Hunter) being a plausible option for the next hero class.

Most of the abilities from those classes were adapted to make the classes that exist now in WoW, so its kinda hard to create one though.

I think Demon Hunter will definitely be a hero class because along with the death knight it was definitely the most popular hero unit in WC3. I could also see stuff like archmage or archdruid but I don't know if they want to go that way, I think they'd rather do new classes instead of upgrades on the current ones. I think we'll see some original hero classes eventually.

I want my druid to become Archdruid Cowtastic.

Do any of you remember the Belf Spellbreakers from WCIII? That would make a great hero class. Traditionally they would wear heavy armor and have a lot of magic blocking and absorbing abilities. I think you could go wild and crazy with a new class like that. Although I could see problems balancing them for PVP...

If they introduced a hero class that would allow me to play as a two-headed ogre-magi! I would play 24 hours a day until I got me one!

Two great ideas Pwnsandwich! I especially like the first one though like you said it could turn out a bit unbalanced. Well one would think so will the Death Knight so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, both of those would be amusing, that's for sure. I never played the Warcraft 3 x-pac, so I don't recognize the Spellbreakers, but they sound like fun.

i dont think they will add another hero class i bet they are gonna make goblins available for the horde and from the horde a subfaction of 1 of theyre existing racies will join the ally

necromancer, blade master and demonhunter are most likely. .... if only because during blizcon 2 years ago they mentioned those 3 as possible other ones
