I'd say my favorite genre is classic rock but I like a pretty wide range. My favorite artist is David Bowie. Others I like include Elton John, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Genesis, Santana, Billy Joel...I also like a bit of rap with the Beastie Boys and I also like Will Smith but thats about it, I'm not into most current rap. I also like some classical like from movie soundtracks, love Lord of the Rings and Star Wars (Howard Shore and John Williams respectively). I'd say thats about it.
I'm a big fan of Roxette, they're pretty much my favorite band. Then, Jimmy Buffett, Rod Stewart, most of the ones that you mentioned, and a few other random bands like Flogging Molly, ZZ Top, Barenaked Ladies, Eric Idle (the guy who did the Monty Python: Spamalot songs) OAR, and a lot of video game music (like Zelda, and WoW background music).
I'm also a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. My favorite album from PF is Wish you Where Here, and my second is Piper at the gates of Dawn. I also listen to some jazz.
