Lots of people who are newer to warcraft ask this question. This is the best advice I can give to pick the best class for you:
1. Read the book that came with the game. (not the forums or the QQ "this class is OP") Read the book- pick a class or 2 or 3 that interest you - roll them.
2. Spec how you play. Everyone one and their pet netherwelp will tell you what spec is the best. Don't bother with them - spec how you play - play the toon you want to play while you level. (there is plenty of time to study specs when you decide what type of WoW is right for you)
3. play more then one character. You don't have to limit yourself to one character and race to 80 - this is a game, games are suppose to be fun - but don't try to level too many that you don't get anywhere - starting with 2 you want to try and if you want to try a different class roll it.
4. Decide as you play what you want your WoW experience to be. enjoying all the game has to offer as you level will help you decide what you want to do as a max level character. You can RP, Raid, PvE, PvP, BG, or a combination. You can have a toon for each of these or use the same one. Remember its a game, and it's your game. (remember to check the forums, guild website, and talk to your friends about how and what is needed or required if you choose a more 'end-game' or 'hardcore' play style at later levels)
5. Enjoy the game and keep it a game. Play because you are having fun - if you are not having fun why are you spending $15 a month to play?
Hey guys, I played World of Warcraft about three or four years ago for about 9 months, before any of the expansions came out.
I was a gnome rogue previously, and now I'm beginning to play again, but I'm not sure if I should play my old 60 (probably not) or change classes or races or what. I think I'm mainly picking between rogue and mage. This is what I was thinking about
Gnome Rogue
Gnome Mage
Dranei Mage
Human Mage
Human Rogue
I don't really care what race is best for each class, and as you can see, I'm more of an alliance guy. I play in an RP realm also, and I'm much more into quests and dungeons than PVP.
If you guys could help me pick which combination you think would be the most fun for me, that would be great. I loved my old gnome rogue, but I'm wondering if I should change, and I haven't played the game in such a long time. Thanks!
gnome mage or gnome rogue. I've always had a tough time with them. People just need to learn how to play the class right to be good at it. For Raids and whatnot i would go with the Gnome Mage. Mages in general deal a ton of damage.
The Diplomats improved to 17-3 and move on to the Sweet 16, while the Red Dragons ended their season at 12-7. It marked the sixth NCAA victory in program history for F&M.
