Capital City raids

I have never in my time playing taken part in or been around for a full raid on any major city. It certainly does sound like fun.... So whats considered a "full" raid? Killing the ruling npc in that city???? Does anything interesting happen? I always wondered what would happen if Thrall dropped dead heh...

Nah, nothing interesting happens, as far as I saw in my Darnassus raid. Just the fact that you killed the leader, so nobody can talk to them. They'll respawn after a while, so it goes back to being normal.

Yeh...it really not that interesting, but very funny to take part in.

I think it would cause a world server crash!
His residence in Org is a far way into the city, I doubt any raid would get that far actually.....but if it did he would escape through his secret tunnel anyway!

Weve raided IF and Stormwind in CBK, Infact we caught the tram from IF to stormwind. We did it with 8 players and probably killed about 80allies. Was a good event for the guild and lot of fun (we basically did it as a recruitment drive to get word of mouth out). There was a lot of cat and mouse, Ive got a screenie some where of a bunch of our corpses outside the AH in IF. Ill post it if i can find it. In retrospect we didnt make the most subtle entrance

I remember we went to some small alli town in redridge I think it was...
There was about 5 of us and we got up on a roof and just harrassed the alli from up there.....it was hilarious.

I had my pew pew but it was that great....so I went down land and stealth attacked and sapped while everyone killed from the roof top.

It was a fun afternoon.

A funny thing...
I was in SW the other day in the AH and all of a sudden I see in general chat:
Madgikkorcish) K E K
And there was commotion and a raid was happening.
and then I clicked....madgikk is one of my guildies on my horde toon.

I have 2 accounts and I have my horde and my alliance on the same server...

So I jumped back on my horde rogue and sure enough, my guildies were raiding SW!

Another time, my bf was walking out of Ironforge to hand in a quest when he see's a flash of red and a belf pally rides straight past him and into the gates.
He then realises that it was our horde guilds main tank!
Apparently he rode in and managed to kill the Flightmaster before getting on the tram! LOL
There was a large group of well geared 70's...
I would have liked to have seen that.

Seriously, I didnt know my guildies spent so much time attacking alliance cities.

The funny thing is, that neither my partner or I have told our horde guildies that we are creating alliance toons, we are going to plan a surprice pvp attack on them one day...in the future

They may have changed this but i was under the impression that the killing of the Leader of a enemy city would result in a large ammount of rep with all ur (alliances) factions. Also i have been on a raid on org getting to thrall is amazingly easy if u go in thru the back door (to avoid the roof trolls at the front of the city) just forgot to bring a second tank for the troll boss. with one tank we got thrall to 13% but the hex the troll boss uses was too much and we got killed.

I'm not sure but you might be right arrow, I've never done a raid like this so you probably know more than me. Too bad you couldn't finish off Thrall but its cool you got as far as you did.

Yeh Im not sure on this one either.
I have never seen anyone even reach Thrall let alone kill him ..but it would be kinda funny.

I like Thrall though.....hes a dude.

Last night I went to SW Keep...is the king of SW really that little kid????
